Known for only wearing black while playing tournaments and her ability to chew up her opponents and spit them out at the table, Jeanette Lee is one of the most beautiful and talented billiards players in the world today. In fact she’s been voted World’s Sexiest Female Athlete by ESPN, among other nods by magazines and organizations for her beauty and skill. Jeanette is of Korean descent and is not only a pretty face with an enormous talent for billiards, but she’s woman who gives back to her community.

She was diagnosed with scoliosis at the age of thirteen and underwent surgery to have a steel rod inserted into her spine in order to straighten it and relieve her pain. She is now the National Spokeswoman for The Scoliosis Association, as well as contributing to various charities. She’s an athlete that gives back to her community.

When she was younger she used her natural ability at the table to hustle. It was a way to make a living but she’s since realized that her talent was better put to use in tournaments, where she crushes her competitors at the tables.

Black Widow moniker aside, Jeanette Lee is an amazing talent who began playing in 1989 and by 1993 she was playing professionally and ranked as one of the top ten female players. She went on to win an Olympic gold medal in pool 2001 in Japan.

Jeanette wins tournaments because she isn’t a weekend warrior at pool, she practices daily, as well as spending a lot of time watching videos of the top male billiard players. She doesn’t use any old pool cue, she has a professional cue to help her bring her top game to the table. If you’ve ever watched The Black Widow play, you’ll see what a natural talent she has. She has said that her greatest strength is her consistency in the game and her tip to players is that passion and hard work make a great player but the courage to get up every time you fall is what makes a champion.

So take a page from Jeanette Lee’s’ playbook; practice, watch videos of your competitors to learn their secrets, use a professional cue and if all else fails, try wearing a little black outfit while you’re making running those racks. It couldn’t hurt!
